JADE ULANI & NINA BOK
Nina Bok and Jade Ulani met dancing at a Christopher Coleman gig at the Royal Oak. Since then they have become close friends and together, have elaborated on old songs of Jade’s with flute, piano, back up singing, glockenspiel, rain stick and thunder drum parts performed by Nina.
The Mystery
“This song is an acknowledgement of the great limit to my understanding and an expression of gratitude for the life we get to be a part of.”

Blue Robin
“This song was written the night Jade had invited Hugh Foley, banjo player, to have one of their first band practices at the Lotus Centre in Hobart. After a series of unfortunate events, she managed to lock them both inside the building with no way of getting out until it was opened for work the following morning. Unable to leave the kitchen and hallway, they spent the night with hot drinks, their instruments and luckily, one sleeping bag!”
